I cant download Battlefield 1, It gives me the message "Folder Doesn't Exist"

So i've been trying to install for days now and it worked before with origin. I wanted to redownload Origin to start playing the game again and realised it didnt exist anymore, or you cant download it. So i downloaded EA and when i start the download the message "That Folder Doesn't Exist", Ive checked and it does infact exist.

  • Hi @MURREZ,

If the folder exists but the EA App can't detect or recognize it, then there are many reasons for that:

    • You do not have permissions to the folder or the folder location.
    • The folder is on a location that is not currently accessible like an external drive that is not currently connected to the PC.
    • The folder has been moved or deleted.
    • The folder may be blocked by Windows.
    • Your antivirus software may be blocking the folder.

Simply run EA App as administrator and start downloading the game. Also, temporarily disable your antivirus software and see if that works.

Change permissions for that folder: Right-click the folder > "Properties" > "Security" > "Edit" > Allow all permissions except for "Full control".

Note: Make sure you re-enable the antivirus as well as the Windows Firewall since the computer might be at a risk of virus infection.
