EA customer support is still abhorrent. Easily the most frustrating customer experience I've ever had. First they talk in circles for so long I literally think I'm talking with a bot and when I request a person they get offended and start talking down to me. I have heard only bad and worse reviews and news about the EA app which is an obvious scam in itself. I have no interest of installing this advertisement tool on my computer to mine my data and if I don't they are holding my property as a hostage. This is literally stealing my account. I think gamers should just start to actually boycott EA and their practices. There has been so much talk about just going on full boycott with them but it never happened. The only thing EA cares about is selling card decks in FIFA. I'm frustrated and quite frankly offended how I've been treated by the company that I've paid hundreds of euros for products, which they now have as hostage.
I agree with everything above. It’s really not fair that I have spent over $600 over the course of these supporting Sims game and now I cannot even play because you all forced us to download a software that cannot operate offline. Like really. With origin I can play my downloaded, prepaid games without internet. This is wack. And I will be sending out Sims for a refund of every game. Every expansion. Every kit. Every add-on. I am very disappointed.
I myself don't like the EA Desktop app because it won't install. I get Error INST-14-1603 and it shuts down. I've written official EA support several times, but they replay with weird broken English claiming my 800+GB of free hard drive space isn't enough to run the installer and close my ticket.
I can't access the games I paid for.
I can't buy new games.

I can't buy new games. This is one of the most rated topics on the forum. Why are you forcing us to use the terrible app? Give us the option to revert to Origin until you fix it.
I can't play Jedi survivor because it's saying that I have low disk space even though I don't. You also disabled the trick to stop forced migration.
Why are you not listening to your customers? Are you trying to get the worst rated company award again?
- @virtualbalboa_gg my guess is that they have done like other companies and outsourced the support to india and/or china because it's cheaper.

In battlefield 5 with Origin you could block trolls profile and it would stop showing their text chat in game as well.
EA App fails to do this.- @Toddesangst Then I guess I'm going to outsource my money to other companies when I want to buy a new videogame.
