I keep getting installation error everytime I install a pack

Hello Everyone! Yesterday I bought the Get Together Expansion pack on the EA app and right after that, as I was trying to install the pack, it said"Installation Error". So I decided to uninstall a...

Thanks! Please try the following steps and let me know if that clears this up for you:

  • Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
  • Clear the cache for the EA app
  • Run the EA app as an administrator 
  • Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
  • Try lowering your User Access Control Settings:
    • Close the EA app
    • Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field
    • In the User Access Control window, click and hold the slide bar —slide it to the lowest setting available
    • Click Okay the bottom of the window
    • Open the EA app client and try starting the download again

Unfortunately, that didn’t work. It’s still telling me that there’s an installation error. I appreciate your help though @EA_Solaire
