Summarize your bug The Get To Work expansion pack I purchased would not install and came up with installation error at 74%. I tried clearing the EA app cache, repairing the Sims 4, running EA app as administrator, restarting all the app, the pack download and my laptop. I also tried lowering User Access Control Setting. These didn't work so I also followed a player trying to help and played the Sims 4 without my Get To Work expansion pack installed but obviously it said the Get To Work content was not downloaded. The last thing I thought to do was to uninstall the Sims 4. I just uninstalled the Sims 4 then reinstalled. The sims 4 itself downloaded fine but now none of my purchased packs which were previously downloaded are installed and will not redownload due to this installation error. I've tried everything and just listed these so I don't get told to repeat what I've already tried. I'm not sure what else to do, I have searched many many EA help forums and followed every single step to try clear this issue and get an answer but nothing is working. Please get this fixed ASAP. I have also filled a report in the EA app about this download/installation issue but EA still hasn't got back to me on that. I see this is happening to others too but no solution.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Install any expansion pack and look for the popup error: "Installation error" in red that occurs whenever I try to download one of my expansion packs to use.
What happens when the bug occurs? Download stops at 74% and Installation error pops up then a pop up saying "Installation failed. The final stages of installation didn't go as planned". Unable to install expansion packs as they do not download when this bug occurs.
What do you expect to see? I expect not to see an error and to see download complete to be able to use my expansion packs?

I'm having this/similar problem with Werewolves and Cottage Living.
Report ID: dacd628c-09b5-49aa-8edc-45f65c29a00bI've reported it two or three times already but have had no response or progress. Provided are two screenshots of my EA App, one to prove they show up in "manage Add-ons" and therefore I own them, the other to show the notification I get every time I try and download either. I've been having this problem since the 26th of January, and it is now the 4th of February.
Both Werewolves and Cottage living go through 'preparing' for 3+ minutes before failing. Neither are downloading beyond 'preparing', failing during the preparing stage. Within the add-ons list, it returns to the 'download add-ons' section but still says 'installing' when it fails, despite the download failing.
In an attempt to fix it, I have;
- no mods.
- cleared the cache dozens of times.
- restarted my computer
- repaired the game
- uninstalled the whole game TWICE
- uninstalled the EA app once
- lowered the UAC
- looked for the file name in other places (which gave me nothing because the packs have never been downloaded on this computer. And as it's a new computer, there's no origin or demo for it to accidentally load into, even if it did load)
- checked how much disk space I have on my computer, unsurprisingly my brand-new gaming computer is not the problem. And they DID download on my old computer before it died.- 2 years ago
Same thing is happening to me and i haven't had any help from EA or anyone on here. It's terrible how we spend our money on this game and they have ZERO customer service.
