@EA_Cade....with all due respect, this is a horrible response. My husband deploys at sea frequently and now won't be able to access one of his favorite ways to pass his limited downtime because there is no reliable internet access in the middle of the ocean. We have paid for a single player game, that doesn't need to be connected to the internet (outside of updates and the gallery), and it's never been an issue before. Now, after the forced switch to the EA app, it's suddenly by design that you can't access the game offline? This needs to be fixed, or redesigned, whatever term fits the narrative. So many people don't have reliable internet, it isn't okay to suddenly require people to be online to launch a game that's been offline-compatible for nearly a decade.
Between not having a download button for content I've purchased and being unable to play my offline, single-player game when your servers are down or I'm not on the internet, I'm seriously thinking it's time to avoid purchasing EA-affiliated products going forward.
