Impossible to launch Sims 4 without Internet connection

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? I can't launch it, so why does it matter? I should be allowed to play a not updated game if I want. I paid for it!
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Do you seriously need me to list all of them? It's a general problem that I am fairly sure applies to all games at this point.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Log in to the EA App, make sure to check "keep me logged in" Have your Internet provider have issues, or go into the woods. Point is, you don't have access to the Internet on your computer
What happens when the bug occurs? The app sends me on an impossible goose hunt after login credentials on the online servers, and will not let me launch the game unless I travel to a house with Internet, carrying my stationary computer with me. Sometimes the reason is it needs me to log out and log in again, but online. Sometimes my "game license" has expired. When it went to "we corrupted your game files" I gave up and shut the damn machine off.
What do you expect to see? A play button, or a way to launch my game, without needing an Internet connection. This always worked with origin. Please give us origin back as an option! This new app does not work!
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
