Hey, late to the party here,
BF3 isn't available in my area (according to EA Desktop), I'm from the UK, I can't seem to find anything on the internet suggesting BF3 is region locked intentionally for the UK.
I would really like to play the Battlefield that I'm most nostalgic for.
Using the EA Play Desktop Beta with the xbox games pass, I've been able to download the other BF games but no luck with BF3 - it does show up as available in the xbox companion app, but when it leads me to EA Desktop I'm met with "Unavailable in your Region".
I don't have a VPN so doing the band-aid fix isn't a option for me. Any suggestions?

I'm from India and I am having a problem with BF3 too. Can you please just fix it?
September 18th. Issue is not FIXED! I managed to play BF3 on my region 4 months ago (France) via the Game Pass and now it says that the game is not avaiable in my region? C'mon EA!
I gotta bump this, did it ever get fixed? Seems like EA always gives the same excuse saying that it's working as intended when it clearly isn't..
