How can I add my friends to my friend's list in the EA app?↑
Once logged in, if you don't see your friends appear, let's try adding them manually. Check out the steps in this EA Help article for more on that: Add friends on the EA app
My friends aren't showing up in the search results!↑
If you're not seeing your friends appear after searching for them, something's up. There are a few things that may help them show up. Please give these steps a try and let us know if they've helped.
- Privacy Settings: Someone may have their profile set to private. Private profiles won't appear in the search results.
- For the EA app: If your profile is public, your friends could try sending you a friend request instead. If not, one or all parties could update their privacy settings so that their EA Accounts will show up in the search results. To update the EA Account Privacy settings, open the EA Account and Billing settings, then go to the Privacy Settings tab. Select the settings you're happy with and let your friends know (and vice versa) how they can now search for you. - For other gaming accounts: If you're looking to import friends from your friends list on another gaming account, the privacy settings on those accounts will matter. Ask your friends to double-check that their profile privacy settings for those accounts are set to public. These guides will come in handy if they need more help with that: Steam / Xbox / PlayStation.
- Platforms: If you're looking to play with friends outside of the EA app and just need to add each other as friends in the EA app beforehand, read through these next steps:
- Cross-Play: Some games have cross-play enabled, and some don't. Check to see if it's an option and if both of you have this setting enabled.
- Same Generation: If the game doesn’t support cross-play and cross-generation matchmaking, please be sure you are both playing on the same generation console. For example, if you're on PlayStation 5 and they are on PlayStation 4, you won't find each other.
