Issue regarding a DLC pack

I'm looking for help with an issue regarding a DLC pack I purchased on September 29th. After buying the pack, I found that the content wasn't showing up when I tried to play the game. Specifically, the "Moonwood Mill" area, which is part of the pack, isn’t appearing, so it seems like the DLC didn’t install or activate properly.

I reached out to customer support, and they asked me to relaunch the game, update it, and log out and back in to see if that would fix it. Unfortunately, none of those steps worked. Support later mentioned that this might be a bug in the game and advised me to post here for help from the community managers.

It’s been several days, and I still don’t have access to the DLC I paid for, despite following all the troubleshooting steps. I’m wondering if there’s another solution, like getting a replacement for the DLC instead of a refund, or if there’s something else I can do to fix this. I’d also like to know if there’s any compensation available since it’s been quite frustrating waiting for a resolution.

I appreciate any advice or next steps you can provide. Thank you!

  • @SkyWasNotThere That almost looks like you have the legacy edition of Sims 4, but that shouldn't be available anymore. What's the version number? Do you have any mods installed?

@SkyWasNotThere  If you restart your computer and open the EA App, but NOT Sims 4 itself, do you see a Repair or Update option?

Separately, do you see other content from Werewolves?  For example, are the Build/Buy or CAS items present, and can you make a werewolf in CAS?

I restarted and the repair did show up and I tried running it, but  the pack still doesn't show up. Also the Build/Buy or CAS items don't show up. It looks like as if I dint buy it, but I know I did.

@SkyWasNotThere  Does Werewolves show up in the EA App game library, under Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons?

Separately, please run a search for the pack's folder.  Open Terminal (in Applications > Utilities) and enter this command:

    find / -name "GP12" 2>/dev/null

Then post the results here.  You can black out your username if you like, but please leave the rest intact.

@SkyWasNotThere  Okay, that all looks fine.  Please make sure the EA App is closed, open Applications > EA Games > The Sims 4 Packs, and trash the GP12 folder.  Restart your computer, download the pack again (it should no longer show as installed), and see whether the content loads.  Please test in a new save first, with no mods or custom content present, just to be thorough.
