Locate old game files - Ea App

I previously had Origin installed, but yesterday I did a format on my PC and instead of Origin I downloaded EA App. I have the files of F1 22 on another hard drive but i cannot find an option to locate the game files so I don't have to re-install the game. How can I do it? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @DiSa163

I don't know if you tried this option.. go to open Settings > Download in the EA app and change the install directory in the settings, click Edit next to Install location and choose your new destination, now you will be prompted to locate the game files and tell to EA app the new folder destination when you download a game.

    Greetings..

  • I have already tried this and it didn't work.. The new EA App is very bad, bring back Origin!

Try starting a download of the game @DiSa163. Once done pause it, open up the file location and move your existing download file in and hit resume.

  • EA Games...
New app, new features, new bugs, same old *.
It's really funny that in 2024 you cannot build a client that gives you the option to scan for installed games and repair your downloads....
Might not use EA Games again.

    With much "love",
