Hey guys,
No solution here, and idk if you got that message too, but I have an error code now, which is EC:106. At least, the app opens I guess....
The screenshot is in french, basically it says :
A problem has occur
EA App was confronted with an unknown error. Please try again later.
Error code : EC:106.
Hope this will help EA managers (if they respond one day...)

What is the current version of your EA app: App is not open and cannot be verified. Downloaded the latest version from the EA website around 6 p.m. on May 19th
Please share an EA app Error Reporter ID here in the thread: EC: 104
I already wrote about the error on May 19. It's on page 8. But I'll rewrite it for you to see 🙂
My problem says background service crashed. So I have to write it here, right? I want to stop looking for this problem.
Please solve this problem quickly. EA is not a small company. But isn't it taking too long?I'm so frustrated that my head is going crazy. I beg you. Please solve this problem!!!! (P.S. I used a translator.)

Hi @hopePee,
You're doing it again. 🙂 Please read the previous message in this thread, the one that is above your new message.
Thank you.- 1 year ago
Your Mac model name : MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
What version of macOS are you using: Monterey Version : 12.7.5
Timestamp when the issue first occurred: 13/05/2024
When does the error occur: The error occurs everytime I try and launch the app.
I double click on the app then a message comes up saying (EA app wants to make changes) and then asks me to enter my Mac password, (i enter my password) press enter and when i do this an ERROR code EC:104 BACKGROUND SERVICES CRASHED. It then says 'a quick restart should do the trick', i click restart app and the the same message comes up 'EA app wants to make changes', i enter my password and press enter.
It now comes up with a box saying 'CONNECTING TO EA APP' which stays up for around 2/3 minutes, then it comes up with box that says 'SOMETHING WENT WRONG AND THE SERVICE FAILED TO START.TRY AGAIN IN A MINUTE' with the Ok button.
This whole process happen every time I try to launch the app which i have been trying for nearly 10 days.
What is the current version of your EA app: Unable to check this as i can't launch the app
I have been trying this everyday since the 13/05/2024 for nearly 10 days and this still persists to happen to me and a lot of other people trying to play their games.
Please can you give us an UPDATE on the process in fixing this app and also give us access to origin in the meantime until you fix your Application system.

@EA_Leeuw since trying the new version of the EA app you suggested on Saturday these two errors have been happening in tandem for me. I try to open the app and it asks for administrative approval to make changes and I have to type in my password. Once I finish that a message pops up saying "The app crashed unexpectedly" and asks to send a crash report and restart the app (picture attached below). When I click restart app a second error message pops up that is DIFFERENT then the original one ever since downloading the new version you suggested. Now the second error message says "something went wrong" and gives the error code EC:106.
I will gladly report it on the other page you attached as well but it seems as though these messages are related now.
If this issue is really going to take weeks to fix as you stated in a previous post, please re-open origin for us to use during this time. A lot of us are incredibly frustrated that nothing is improving and we have zero access to our games.
