Main EA app window invisible
Hello, I've been having trouble with the EA app on my Macbook Pro (macOS Big Sur v11.1) because the main window is invisible. It was working fine until a few months ago and as far as I know I didn't change anything.
The issue:
The EA app opens and is (mostly) functional but the main window is invisible and unusable. There are no errors. The toolbar at the top of the screen and pop-ups are visible and functional (for logging in, going offline, etc). I have a shortcut for my Sims 4 game and when I click that it also runs. So I can play, but I cannot manage my games.
What I've tried:
- Putting the EA app in the trash bin and reinstalling it several times
- Clearing the cache (help > app recovery)
- Using all the window options from the EA app toolbar (like zoom, minimize, bring to front)
- Changing the screen settings on my Macbook and even hooking up an extra screen to make sure the EA window wasn't moved off-screen somehow
None of this fixed the issue and the app window stays invisible. It has updated several times since then but that didn't help.
What can I do to get it to become visible again? Or should I file a bug report? All advice is appreciated!
