I've tried everything, cleaning the cache, redownloading the EA app, updating it, repairing it, freeing up memory.
Anything I could think of (and what I was able to find on the internet). Nothing worked, I'm stuck, I recently wanted to get into the game again and now I'm not able to
Seriously I am at my WITS END. I have paid so much money for these games. Everything was fine, and then I got the 'game is not released' pop up. The game wouldn't repair so I just uninstalled it. Now it won't download. I have done everything - I have cleared my cache, I have downloaded the app again after deleting it - I have all but sacrificed a small animal. I am on a MAC and I just want to play my **bleep** game!
It is stuck on pending and won't cancel. Then I try to download it and it starts again. So I make sure I delete the partial downloads. I have tried, I have failed. Please HELP

Not sure what a MAC is but assuming you are on a Mac 😛
Properly trash everything EA App related from your Mac, re-download EA App and install it. You need to trash every single file listed here - https://bluebellflora.com/2024/04/04/ea-app-recovery-for-mac-reset-ea-app-by-clearing-cache-and-other-files-manually/
When you reinstall make sure you allow the app ALL permissions when prompted by the OS.
So, I've been trying to update my game ever since the new update came out, but it is stuck on preparing, calculating time, ever since then. I tried downloading the update the same day it came out as I always do and this has never happened before. I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the ea app, I'm at the point where I'm considering uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, but will probably take hours to do so I don't really want do do it, also some thing very weird when it's in this state of eternal preparing the ea app just closes out of no where, like nothing happened, I don't get a pop up that the app crashed or anything it is just not open anymore.
By the way my game is on a external hard drive, but there's nothing I can do about it cause is the only way I can play, because my computer dose not have enough space to download the game and I still be able to use it for anything els. I don't know what to do any more.

I have been trying to update my sims game for a couple of days now. Everytime I press update game, it gets stuck on the preparing update and the calculating time. I've tried clearing the cache and deleting the app and restarting my computer and nothing is working. I am on a Mac. Could someone help me?
