No connection on EA app

EA app says "No connection" in the top right corner.

I've got WiFi on my PC and everything else functions perfectly - that is to say that I've got connection on every other application.

I simply want to play Sims. To use the gallery it gives me the "connect to internet" option, which I do, and then I can see the gallery. Wonderful. But after a while it'll lose connection again, all while the EA app shows the "No connection" box in red. As well as every time I start my computer up again, say, the next day, I'll have no connection on EA again.

The times when I open the EA app and it does say that I'm online, I'll start up Sims, go look at something in the gallery and it'll then ask me to go online, as though I'm not? And when I then look at the EA app after opening Sims, it says "In game" and "Invisible" as the two options, no more "Online" or "Busy" or what else there might be. I figure the "In game" might be a substitute for "Online" but then I still don't understand why it asks me to go online in the game, when I already should be.

I've tried Googling, but I'm afraid everything leads me to old topics about Origin.

My question is just; How do I go online on the app? Is there a button to say "Look for wifi" somewhere in the app that I've been selectively blind to? Or how do I fix this permanently, so I don't have to try to get connection every time I want to play?

Sorry if this is weirdly written or if I confuse anyone.

    i uninstalled spybot search and destroy antivirus program and that solved my problem

    Same ... When I had 'ORIGIN' which was mmm installed back into 2019 nothing no issues .. now this? I can't get online... well it says I am but I'm not, my .. that lil DOT up in the Right side top corner where the PFP is.. it's grey and I select to be invisible when login in but I can't see why that would have anything to do with just that.. but I can't change that to the other options like 'away' or 'Online'..

    Also it says 'Connection Failed' with that BIG !WARNING! Triangle there in between the PFP and the other link things like PS Link the Steam Link and others.. So I know it isn't connecting correcting.. YET I have almost every Application that 'EA' gets installed allowed through my firewall.. and yet NOTHING.. I Don't get it. I'm sure I'll figure out what it is and when I do I'll report back here..

    Same here.

    This is outrageous. Where is EA support and what's that all about disabling EA Help chat when you don't want people to reach you? How can you be spending 30 years releasing a football game and can't build a progressive web app it has so many bugs? I spent hours on this for two days and can't play a game. EA App is one of the worst applications I have ever seen in my life, you should really find yourself a better tech lead to sort out all these problems before you release a game again. The Anti cheat is the other problem here, if we get to go beyond EA App nonsense, we will probably run into problems with Anticheat!

    All the troubleshooting on the site is useless as well. There is no firewall blocking, there is on defender blocking anything. To give you the benefit of the doubt, I have even tried disablind all of them and nothing fixes the EA App issue. It thinks either I don't have a connection or it won't render the page. There is a serious issue on your web app delivery and noone seems to be bothering to make an announcement here. 

    EA App doesn't even seem to produce any meaningful logs to help us, trying to troubleshoot this by ourselves.

    @init6ops nothing works on the troubleshooting guide, until you figure out EA App and anticheat issues comes down to connectivity problem, which is bizarre.

    You really need to make sure you cycle your router (not that it makes much sense) but make sure you also use a 5G or other connection one time with EA app, that somehow gets you out of that connectivity issues loop.

    Nothing else made a difference including, disabling defender, reinstalling the game, ea app, anticheat, run as admin etc., and definitely not the crazy things like running sfc /scannow (how is it even relevant?)

    Same problem, except with NFS. 

    None of the games on the launcher seem to connect. 

    Contact lists are greyed out inside the app and no connect button exists inside the launcher.

    I've tried everything except uninstalling windows and starting from scratch.
