No games will launch from EA Desktop App

On PC, I Cannot Launch Any Games in EADesktop. Error Message:  "Things are taking a little longer than usual to load up. Hang tight while we try to solve the problem."  About 75% of the time I could not launch any games, and this error message (a yellow banner across the top), would appear and not go away.  There are a few things I did that fixed the problem.  I am not sure if all, or only one of them was the actual solution.  First, I made sure to launch the EA Desktop using the app "EADesktop", and not "EALauncher".  I set the EADesktop properties to Administrator.  Then I opened up Windows "Services" app and found the "EABackgroundService" app, and in properties, set it to "Automatic".  You can find the Services app my pressing the windows key and then at the top, type "Services".  Click to launch. Once you find the "EABackgroundService" line, right-click and select "Properties". In the middle of the pop-up box there is a line "Startup Type"; select "Automatic". You may need to re-start your computer. This might help some people's situation. See Attachments for visual guidance.

After further experimentation I discovered the following:   Use Ctl-Alt-Del and "End Task" for the EABackgroundServices app and then re-launch the app. So basically you are just closing the service and then re-starting it.  Then all my games show up in the EA Desktop as launchable.  What causes this problem for me, is when I run the program "TimeTravel".  This utility app speeds up the system clock or slows down the system clock. For some reason, messing with the system clock will cause the EABackgroundServices app to malfunction and prevents the user from launching games in EADesktop after its use.
