So, obviously i had problems with installing the ea app (every time i tried to install it stopped right before the end and an error code popped up). I tried the simple solutions first, nothing worked. Then, I tried the solution with which you force Origin (I had origin already installed some time ago, because obviously you can't install it now) to not take the forced ea app update (ofcourse i had to redownload origin with that one link because ea app had already uninstalled origin, I mean why wouldn't it...) and it worked perfectly fine, although somewhat buggy, so I was able to access my games (the few ea games i have on steam). However, I noticed that dlcs i had bought for those games were not showing up in game (or they appeared as purchased but unauthorized), so I decided to try to install ea app the proper way again.
If you haven't guessed it already, yes the app didn't install, same error code popped up, origin got uninstalled and i got locked out of my games... In all my gaming years never have I needed to do so much research and fixing to play a BOUGHT game ffs. Fix this damn mess or let steam manage your games, I'm tired of big companies forcing a bunch of extra launchers to their games and for what, to compete with already established game platforms? Origin was a mess but it worked, Ubisoft's launcher is super bad but at least you can play the games that you gave money for (most of the times), but EA App? nooooo EA just HAS to be the special kid again and make a FORCED BETA launcher that does not even install itself...
Ok, rant over, I hope this gets resolved cause I'm sure there are a lot of people that have invested much more money on ea games than i have it gets kinda serious as time passes.
