[Old Report] Some EA App files Are Just Gone

The EA app was working fine last night last, but today, when I loaded up my PC, the app sign was missing, so I clicked on it to it what was going on, and it told me this shortcut was gone.

I tried searching for it all I get was this file name is gone or has been moved, and when I went to uninstall and reinstall it to see if that would help, all I got told was that the eauninstall.exe was gone.

I did go look at the flies to see what was happening and they really are just gone I don't know how or why it happened because I have no reason to go into the EA Desktop files, so I know I didn't do it by mistake.

Plus, when I googled to see what to do, some people said just reinstall Origin but that didn't help because Origin still had that !Get The EA Now message! that I can't close.

it's why I moved to the EA app in the first place because Origin wasn't and still doesn't give me a choice one this.

Just to add if anyone gets this problem. I ran into it today and had no launcher, no uninstall, no installer or anything. I went to the official download site and downloaded the client. It then said i already had it installed and gave the option to repair. That fixed it for me.

  • This happened to me too. I went to my file explorer and searched for EA. Then I clicked the "EAappInstaller" from the list. Then it had an option to "repair". I did this and it fixed my EA app. I only use it to play the Sims but my save files on it are still there!

Glad to hear that helped resolve this issue for you.

  • Update: I have tried what alliecataj said to do a few times now, but I always get told there is an error, and to make it worse, my Sims 4 has done the same as the EA app did.

I will say Dragon Age: Inquisition, which I also have installed through that app, is still fine, so I don't get what's going off.

Also, I still can't use Origin at all because the EA App message isn't giving me the option to close it and it's making it so I can't do anything and I mean anything on Origin.
