One issue causing another with spore.

So.. this started from me installing spore galactic adventure and the creepy & cute parts pack through steam since thats where I own the game and expansions.
I've played the base game a couple of times without logging in in the game but read online that to utilize the creepy and cute pack its recommended to login etcetera.
I am however unable to login in the game because it says it doesnt recognize my EA login details and doing some more research online there have been several people with this issue and the only solution i found was contacting EA support where it would become known that if you dont own the games on the origin or now on the EA app it wont recognize your login in game.

So i contacted EA support, the first person asked me for proof i had purchased the base game and the 2 expansions on steam, i added the proof to the ticket but the person was unable to see them.
So i had to start another conversation, this person did some checking, read our previous conversation and after a bit came back with a message saying he added the galactic adventure pack to my library and asked me to check.
I checked and it did indeed add the expansion pack, i could see it in the origin app library.
After that he tried adding the creepy & cute pack however this one didn't show up in my library, he then asked me to logout and back in which also didnt work and after that to reinstall the app to which i found origin app is no longer available and everything now goes through the EA app.
So i uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app to be save and checked over there and the game doesnt show up in the library there, however when i searched for it in the search bar it also didnt show up as in me owning it (neither the base game nor the creepy and cute pack).
The galactic adventure pack does show up as owned in the EA app but if i try to install it it says i require the base game to install the galactic adventure pack.

Another set of reinstalls and logging out and in later of the helpdesk guy trying to grant me the base game and it still doesnt show up.
Also tried clearing the cache, restarting through the help menu and all that jazz to no avail.
So the helpdesk person recommended me to make a forum post and add in all the screenshots etcetera to see if a community manager could help me any further.

I wouldn't be opposed to buying the game in its current sale since its only 5 euro right now if this problem cannot be solved but i cant seem to find any information about when this sale ends either so it would be nice if there was a decently fast response to this.
And apparently i can only add 3 screenshots with this, so the proof of purchase is included but i do have 2 other screenshots of the EA app showing the game isn't owned but the galactic adventure pack is.

    These screenshots were taken after all the troubleshooting.

  • By now the different versions/expansions have been added to my library on the EA app which was one of the possible fixes to be able to log in ingame.
    I have also checked spore.com and logged in there to check under which email the spore account would be which is the same as my EA account.
    I have tried deleting the login file in the appdata folder which would supposedly reset the login thingy ingame.
    This among all of the above troubleshooting and what i've talked to a live chat person about in the above mentioned case is basically the end of the road on my side as far as i could find searching on reddit and the forums for possible solutions.

    Obviously not the end of the world to play offline but if theres possibly a decently easy fix on EAs end or maxis' end or whatever, i'll leave this post up in hopes of ever reaching a solution.
    I've seen some forum mods on older posts mention certain solutions but they wouldn't be able to do it because they weren't EA/maxis employees.

    @Endslikecrazy not sure how often you check back here (if at all), but how were you able to get ahold of the support team? i have zero way of getting to them, and im struggling to get my account set up for spore ☹️

    @renamamiyasp5just spam the bug report option in the ea app (3 lines on top left then go to help then go to ea bug reporter)... for me galactic adventures refuses to launch and the press play button is programed to the wrong game cuz technically galactic adventures is its own game that uses the base games assets but after they scrapped good ol origin which the game worked on someone messed up the programming for it on ea app, i did research and extensive testing and redownloading repairing resetting reviewing, and i have 100% certainty it got programmed into the app wrong... it's like that for other "old games" as well even though this game is very well relevant and hyperpopular... there are plenty of modders/programmers that could easily fix the problem.

  • you can tell someone went in made an amateur mistake and messed it up because both applications were renamed sporeapp in the files
