Overlay turns itself back on - Stop This!
AND breaks Nvidia Shadowplay.
The EA App Overlay is turning itself back on at least twice a day, while I am in a game playing. I know when it happens because the EA App overlay breaks GeForce Experience video recording.
And when it does happen, the app will still show the Overlay off, but when I reboot it is shown on.
The other pattern I see is the Overlay turns on when a message is pushed about EA Play being expired. That's about 1 out of 3 times. No doubt EA is either forcing it back on or pushing a message that forces it on, even though everything is off except 'Usage Sharing'. I have to keep that on for achievements to update.
I can't install the app to a drive other than C:\. I bought 'Survivor' for a friend but the EA App is broken for them, so we returned it. The overlay breaks my video recording and forces itself back on. Why do you create an app that makes the customer not want to install it, in spite of the games? I went 5 months without adding it to my new PC, even though I wanted 'Survivor', because it is the most painful DRM I use, between Steam, Ubi, Battle.net, and Rockstar.
When set to 'Off' the Overlay should never turn itself back on. I look forward to seeing this bug fixed in the next update, which you seem to push quite frequently.
Try and focus on the customer over commerce.
