Jokes aside; could you open a Private Browsing window & go to https://help.ea.com > login via the upper-right corner > Select the Steam icon to login > do you still get the same issue?

No it still doesnt work😪

I think I should do a step by step foto of the process it is taking me through. So you can see if there is something wrong.

1.I follow your link and login using steam( in InPrivate window)

2.I have a authenticator protecting my steam account so I get the code and enter it.

3. After i authenticate my account login it takes me HERE.

4.Then after yhat it takes me HERE.

5.but then the window closes takes me back to EA login and asks to create a new account.

6. I enter my birth date in previous foto, then it takes me here, I enter my existing EA account which is exactly the same as my steam account.

7.It takes me here and I select my existing account.

8.It asks me my prefered verifycation method I choose the top one.

9.I enter the 6 digit code

10.then it asks me to link steam and EA.

11.And then I get the famous "Something went wrong" error

damn bro I thought of doing and showing this exact step by step process, and you actually did it 🙌😇😁

Question for you two; do you have any special characters in your Steam name? (any non-Latin characters etc.)

No I dont my account name has no caps, a few underscores and a number, my account itself is very long with only latin words and a lot of (.) Which suffices as spacings.

I think I just clicked do you know that on some game stores you cannot create a account with alot of ( . ) because they see it as a way to create multiple accounts using the same name only to add" .[edit: email address removed]"

Some app stores prohibet doing this but IDK WHY.
