Hi,

Battlefield V in my collection is greyed out and cannot be launched with the error message:

An incompatible version of this game is installed on your device. Uninstall the Steam version to launch the game.

Background: I played BFV via EA Play membership on Steam. Cancelled it and permanently activated the game in the EA App via a code. I have already changed the game directory and reinstalled BFV, but the message remains, although there is no Battlefield V on my PC. Apart from the one in the right folder.

    EA app is hella broken in general. The only thing that works perfectly is the store and payment processing. Shows you where their priorities are.

    I fixed it by going to the files then d or c disk steam library then steam apps then common and delete battlefield v file then it will work immediately .

    I ran into the same problem, but I managed to fix it, I just need to update the EA APP via EA UPDATER

    Hi, I’m having the same problem, but for Sims, do you mind telling me how you did that? Im not exactly tech savvy and im not finding anything else online about it.

    @Serpentessa You need to go to the downloads in your folder and click on EAappinstaller and then click on "Repair" and then it should be fixed.

    Should be in Downloads, but ig it also depends on your computer or console.
