@Estella_lilith it sounds like there are leftover files from Origin and the App is conflicting. Try the following:

Uninstall Origin and the EA App.

Delete Windows Temp Files

Optional Registry clean-up

Once all is done, reinstall the EA App and run the exe file as admin.

Still doesnt work - getting error that origin is required to play the game.

I can, but you should not need that.. It iss literally a message box saying that origin is required in order to play the game. I get this message shortly after the splash screen of the anticheat. I use the EA app and have the game through Xbox Game pass

@alexandrosdallas Are you launching it through the Xbox App, or the EA App? Have you tried both? Can you provide us with what troubleshooting steps you have tried on your end?

@EA_Shepard I have tried both the EA app and the Xbox App. Same outcome.

This is for Fifa23.

Steps:
- Turn on PC
- Login to Windows
- Open Xbox app or EA app, click FIFA23 - OR double-click the icon on the desktop.
- Splash screen of Anticheat pops up for a few seconds, then disappears.
- A Message box appears, with title "Error" and text "Origin is not installed, and is required to play your game. Please reinstall Origin."
