Re: EA Launcher doesn't launch games.

@EA_IlliumDoesn't work, sadly. After I did the app recovery, the EA app opened smoothly, as usual. Once I clicked on "play", the launching game thingy was present for 2-3 seconds, then the whole EA app closed for around 5 seconds, following it's reappearing as if I never actually attempted to open the game.

Hi @DavidC21112005 Can you try the following steps and let me know if this continues?

• Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
• Verify any Anti-virus, or other software is not limiting the client and game (try closing out of additional apps then trying to play)
• Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game

The SAME EXACT thing is happening to me every single time. This new app is horrible. I just bought a game and I can't even play it. Origin was far better. I've tried to uninstall, reinstall, clear the cache and all the other recommended things. I sure would like to play the game I just bought off STEAM, where I then to use this OTHER app to play off of. Smh...

And Here I was thinking it was some unrelated issue I have been having with my pc anyway... Why the f*ck?? I even kind of get wanting your own client to run games you distribute (though I think even making them available elsewhere then is freaking pointless)  but at least have it work? I bought a game on steam I have been wanting to play for forever (it was consol exclusive for a while and I don't own a console) and now rather than finally being able to play it I spent my night unsuccessfully troubleshooting this mess...

Same here. I actually had the same problems with origin launcher. Finally figured that out and boom they release a new client with the same pervasive problem. Cant even go back to origin. Pretty much robbed of 5 games guess ill check back next year maybe they'll do something. 

So this has been going on since october... i have been playing Dragon Age. inquisition with no problems at all, but i kinda wanted to play Witcher 3 , just cuz i was a bit tired of DAI so i Unistalled DAI and installed Witcher3, and surprise, i can't play witcher neihter DAI, cuz guess what? non of them work :D and its so nice to see so manny peopole complaining about the same issue, demonstrating their frustration, and the support just not giving a single F**k :D 
I would loveeeeee to see a message just like this one 
" Hey guys, we looked into it, and to be fair we don't have any idea of whats going on, we are trying to understand whats happening but, for rigth now, we can't tell you much, cuz we don't know how to fix it, bare with us for a bit, we are deply sorry for your troubles, we get back to you as soon as we can"

absolutely insane how this * launcher is STILL broken and you do nothing about it.

crazy how a game launcher can be horrific at launching games 

and you wonder why its included with game pass....no one wants to give ea money if they cant even get their launcher to work 

dont you think its funny its been a full year and ea only said 2 thing in this debate and then left it for us to try figure out like they gave us a way to fix it

2 years later and we still have the same issue... F...... embarrassing...

Yeah it's beyond pathetic. We should make a class action suit since we have no access to out product that was paid for.

This is so stupid.

Bought a game for my younger brother because he really wanted his own account and all of that.

Bought it on the app so no second software needed.

However, whenever I try to press play, the small loading thing appears but then goes back to the launcher. No error code, nothing to tell me what's wrong. I've also had this issue with dragon age inquisition on my own account.

Tried getting help from threads and from people that are more technical than I am, but find no solution.

I swear, EA, this is getting tiresome, especially reading about people having the same issue after TWO YEARS. And yet no solution is in sight.

I know, right?! I"ve been having the same problem, too! Recently the game worked fine, and now it doesn't, no matter what I do.

seriously no fix after a year.... i had this problem since December quit for a little hoping it'll fix itself but nope. classic ea

also i manage to get the game working by downloading a pirated copy of the game, who cares at this point you paid for the game EA doesn't care enough to let you play something you paid for anyways.

i got the same issue yesterday now not a single game work from the EA app i tried to remove the easy anti cheat from the BFV file it lunched the game but keeps disconnect me every 10 min sending me to offline mode i tried everything nothing seams to work
