Re: 'Failed to Launch Game: An Error on Our End' for Multiple Games. Any Fixes?

So I Bought Battlefield 2042 Today And When It Was Installed I Launched It And I Got Into The Loading Screen Of The Game And It Kicked Me And The Message"An Error Occured On Our End Please Try Again A Little Later" Popped Up And I Tried All Of These Steps And It Didn't Word

1.Create A New Windows Local Account To Try Launch It From There 

2.Cleared The Cache 

3.Reinstalled The EA App And Battlefield 2042

4.Repaired Battlefield 2042 And The Game Files

5.Disabled My Anti-Virus 

6.Restarted My Laptop 

7.Updated To The Latest NVIDIA Drivers

But Still It Wouldn't Work For Some Reason,

So I Just Wanted To Know Is This Happening To Other People Or Is It Just Me Or Is It EA's Fault?

    Same here,  Northeast  uk

    Identical error notification!!

    Started at 12ish pm  today,  worked ok 28th aug

    Installed new gpu geforce rtx 5070 16gb

    Testing to get the best fps using nvidia app settings,

    Tried every fix,  clearing cache,disabling overlay

    Repair, 

    Possibly ea servers 🤔 

    Bf3 works ok

    I want to add that, similar to antywantyuk​, I am in the same region and have also installed a new GPU, except I installed an AMD GPU, so think the issue might be GPU agnostic and server or region specific. I am not sure.

    What happens

    I matchmake into Breakthrough (European servers), start playing and then a few minutes into the game I get an error that states that the game is unable to connect with the EA online services. All other internet services works nominally.

    Same issue here, started last night

    Nothing new installed though, it's just ahppened out of the blue.

    Which is annoying, the grind for those Battlefield Cosmetics is bad enough as it is

    Actually, just updated my NVIDIA Drivers that's fixed it

    Okay, weird but that's done it in my case

    Hey together,

    on my PC a Windows Update was responsible for the error.
    I deinstalled the updated and it worked after reboot.
    2025-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 (KB5064081) (26100.5074)

    Yeah, but KB 5063878 is still installed. 

    Was playing yesterday. Today I installed 5064081 and after that, I got the error in the EA App during Battlefiled 2042 start. Maybe both 2025-08 has something to do with this error.

    I loged  in two games and after a minute or two game crashed, i logged again for a third time and then  game and pc crashes and restarts... I think thats enough try for tonight ....
    I had Nvidia new update installed. I have also uninstall the 2 faulty windows updates  last week. Two days ago i was able to play , tonight NOPE .

    Hello,

    I tried a lot of solutions from this post or other posts from here and reddit, what fixed it for me was to disable the Game Overlay in EA app (Settings>Application)

    "fixed" ,  def0 GPU  driver settings issue

    bf2042 failed to launch error at our end(WHICH IS NOT SERVER SIDE) MISSLEADING

    NOTHING RELATED TO BF2042 ,  repairs integrity checks clearing cache reinstalling e a app dont bother in this instance

     

    fix in the nvidia app

     

    go to game within nvidia app, click 3 vertical dots, select :      RESTORE DRIVER SETTINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     

    worked for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    angry that the error is misleading, its client seid  you're  settings, you would potentially wait for them to fix this

    As i remember I installed too yesterday, I'll try to uninstall it and I'll come back again. Also if it's work or not,thanks for advice

    Thank you for your help. I think there must have been a misunderstanding. I mentioned that I have an AMD GPU installed, so can't replicate the steps you suggested. I did find the culprit in my scenario though and it was driver and bios related. After my GPU installation, Windows reverted to a very old version of my network LAN driver for some reason coupled with a BIOS setting that interfered with the proper functioning of the card. It took some digging and testing, but I am happy to report that all is well now. Happy gaming.

    On AMD -  Disabling anti lag should solve the problem
