Yup. so, if you go into Nvidia control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program settings -> Add -> EA desktop -> browse to monitor Technology -> Change to fixed refresh.
Edit: It doesnt make it perfect, but instead makes the 30 fps exempt from G-SYNC. which looks smoother.

Apply all changes in Nvidia Control Panel and restart the EA Desktop App.
For me personally: these changes force the EA Desktop App to run at my monitors max refresh rate (1440p 144hz)
