Re: Sims 4 - Game License Invalid

I’m beyond frustrated at this point, so consider this more of a rant than a cry for help. I’ve been dealing with the “game license is invalid” error for way too long, and despite trying literally everything I can find online, my Sims 4 game still refuses to launch. Here's what I've done so far:

Updated the EA App

Cleared the cache on the EA App

Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App

Uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4

Moved the "licenses" folder out of the EA Services folder (to the desktop)

Dug through Reddit, the EA forums, random blogs—tried every obscure fix people have posted

Restarted my computer a dozen times. You name it.

And after all of that? Still broken. I even opened a support ticket, spent time going back and forth with an EA agent who couldn’t fix it either—and when they hit a wall, they just closed the ticket. No resolution, no follow-up, I am just ghosted.

What am I supposed to do now? Pretend it never happened? Re-buy the game I already own? It honestly feels like EA doesn’t care that people are getting locked out of their games entirely. I’m posting here because I want EA to take this issue seriously. There are threads going back YEARS about this problem, and people are still getting hit with it. Ok.. rant over. For now.

    I finally have a resolution!

After weeks of going back and forth with EA Support, waiting for hours in the chat queue every time, I finally got my "Game License is Invalid" issue resolved.

I had already done the troubleshooting steps above (multiple times) before I finally told the representative this was a "you" problem. They looked at my account and he said "I have gone ahead and made some changes on the account" (I wish I knew what) - and bam! It worked.

I couldn't believe it was that simple after they had me jumping through hoops for weeks. I asked exactly what was wrong so I would know for the future, but they wouldn't explain. All I know is that it is definitely an account issue, which makes sense with the license error message.

I have attached my full transcript with this rep so you can see the final fix - it's all the way down at the bottom, after a ton of unnecessary technical troubleshooting. And keep in mind this is not my first chat with them (one of like... 9?), so yes, I was beyond frustrated.
