Hi everyone,

It seems that some of you are encountering this error because your antivirus, antimalware, or firewall is not allowing the EA app for PC or The Sims 4 for PC to function correctly.

Please try manually allowing or making an exception for the EA app for PC and The Sims 4 for PC in your security software, and see if this resolves the issue. We've received several reports indicating that Comodo Internet Security might be one of the programs blocking the game and the app from working as intended.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please generate an EA app Error Reporter ID and share it in this thread as asked by @EA_Solaire here, so we can investigate further.

    I have repaired both the EA launcher on my desktop and the game itself. I have ensured the program has access through my firewall. I have logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher, and ensured all drivers are up to date. I am at my wits' end. I am still unable to get past the DisplayName missing field registry box. I have typed in my credentials and been redirected back to the launcher in an infinite loop. Send help.
