That's likely a bot talking to you, as what they said makes no sense.

Can you try to redeem the code on this page? A decade ago, I was only able to redeem my The Sims Medieval code on TheSims3.com after failing to redeem it on Origin.

If that doesn't work, I recommend you to keep bothering them.
