Redeemed Code, but Unable to Install in EA App

I recently received a redeemable key for the Lovestruck Expansion Pack as a Valentine’s gift. I redeemed the code on my only EA account, and it was accepted without any issues. However, when I go to the Manage Add-ons section in the EA App, the content does not appear for installation.

Additionally, in the EA App Store, it still shows that I need to purchase the expansion again. When I launch The Sims 4 and check the in-game store, it correctly states that I own the Lovestruck EP but that I need to download it before using its features.

I have already tried logging out and back into my EA account, clearing the EA App cache, and reinstalling the EA App, but the issue remains. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to force the EA App to recognize my ownership and allow me to install the expansion? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • this happened to me with 3 codes and I was LIVID, 

    I logged out and then logged in, and the packs were there just one click away to download, 

    try that method

  • My case is recent (5/31?2025) I purchased Sims 4 Cottage Living from Instant Gaming site.  I redeemed the code with EA and did not get the download at all!  I have been going back and forth with Instant Gaming who said they cannot refund me and I have contacted EA five times with no response.  I cleared the cache, went offline and back online and even uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App with no results.  Short of uninstalling the entire game, I would like to believe there is an easier solution to this.  I WILL NOT buy the game again and I'm about to chalk this up as a loss.  I have bought games from Instant Gaming before with no problems but the issue started through the EA app.  I know we just had a patch update and as we all know, things go horribly wrong when that happens.  Can anyone give me some help on this because I'm about to uninstall everything.

    Hi Yorben1406, I'm in the same boat and I am NOT going to buy it again.  I just want them to shoot the DLC to my account so that I can download it.  I have already redeemed the code but I can't see Cottage Living anywhere.  I am quite frustrated.  I've done everything that others suggested except uninstalling the entire game.  In my case, EA hasn't even answered me except to say if I want to resume or cancel my case.  I believe they know there is a problem but they don't care.
