Yes, the account is the same but now that you mention it i never got a confirmation email from EA saying that something was redeemed, which makes me worried. I have checked again and it was the official site i redeemed it on. (https://www.ea.com/redeem) So there might be a larger problem ahead.
Anyways 3 days later and the amount has not shown up yet

Typically, gift cards should be redeemed on your EA Wallet page, per the instructions for redeeming gift cards, rather than on the site you used. Although it should still register.
Since it's been 3 days and the amount still hasn't been reflected in your EA wallet, it'd be best to contact live support again and have them review your balance. The team there should be able to do a deep dive into your account and see what can be done.
