Regarding the EA app or EADestager issue

I would like to inquire about an issue with the EA app, specifically EADestager. Today, after playing APEX on my PC, when I closed the game and started doing my own tasks, my antivirus software (F-Secure) suddenly issued a warning, stating that this application had a problem because it was attempting to modify other applications. I'm wondering if this is a false positive from the antivirus software?

It's strange because I followed the path provided by the antivirus software, but I couldn't find this program. I would like to ask, what is the purpose of this program? Is it problematic? Thank you.

    Hi @Joe_jack1412,

To my knowledge, EADestager, or EAStager, is basically the program/service built into the client that searches, downloads and readies the EA app client for any new updates.

Recently, version 13.37.0.5550 of the EA app was released. So it is probably this version of the EA app that the service tried to download. Of course, it's completely safe (something we can only guarantee if you've downloaded it via our own website, https://ea.com/ea-app).

@EA_Leeuw My app was indeed downloaded from the official website. After playing Apex and closing the game, it took some time before the antivirus software issued a warning. Additionally, I can't currently find the 'StagedEADesktop' folder; there are only two folders, 'EA Desktop' and 'outdatedEADesktop.' Is this normal? Thank you.
