Remote Play Is Unusable
For the last few months, Remote Play has been completely unusable for anything other than menu navigation. Two months ago, I could play a game (specifically CFB 26) on remote play via basic hotel wifi. Now, I can't play anything on even really good wifi. My xbox is hardwired in, and I've tried via a laptop and phone on good wifi with nothing else pulling on the wifi. It works well enough (even though high ping values pop up) to navigate through menus, but the moment I try to play an actual game it lags like crazy and completely unplayable.
This is unfortunate, and is largely an issue since the capability was moved off the app and to the browser version (which, by the way, doesn't allow for full screen when playing on a phone.)
Is there anything I can test and run to make sure that I can't fix this issue? Thanks!
Hi CptStutta23 ,
Remote play isn’t a built-in feature of the EA app. Unlike Steam, it doesn’t offer its own remote play functionality over the same network (for example).
If you’re running into lag while using a game streaming service or something similar, the issue comes from the service itself or your network connection, not the EA app. The app doesn’t play a role in causing or fixing that.
