In order to play the game from Steam the two accounts needs to be linked. This should be explained on Steam If you no longer wish to play from Steam you should uninstall the game there and then follow the instructions I gave.

He did not played on steam he played ON Origin and purchased expansions through Origin. He only gave an example, that he can play free Sims 4 on Steam, but no longer on EA App.
- 2 years ago@herrpietrus I am glad you at least understand my prediciment. I am mad I own something through EA's software that I can't acess. Because the one game I can not download from EA is sims 4, which is free. I see a l;ot of other users having this issue, so stop pretending like it's not real. EA sucks, they are an awful company. I doubt any compensation ever comes from this. EA is fraud. EA practices theft and has no customer support to help the user. DO NOT SUPPORT EA.

You contradict yourself. First you say that he did not play on Steam then you say he can play on Steam. Besides his issue is with downloading not playing.
