Hi! I had the exact same problem and it took me about a day to solve it 😬 It's actually quite simple. (I have windows, but it might work for other stuff too)
I downloaded the EA installer from the official site, opened it and clicked repair. It took a while but in the end it fixed the bug, and now the Sims 4 can be opened 😀
@ciupi19 i’ve tried that so many times and it still won’t work
