Okay. So I made the move from Origin to the EA app, and decided to do a clean install of Sims 3. Most of the stuff downloaded just fine, but Into the Future, Showtime, and Pets will not not download, instead stuck at Preparing.
I tried EA help and they said it's a known issue and closed the ticket, apparently satisfied to not fix this.
Please tell me somebody found a workaround for this nonsense.
Literally having the exact same problem with University Life as of a few days ago. Pair that with having to redownload all my store content every few days because it keeps disappearing from the launcher and you make for one grouchy sims fan. Apparently these problems have been going on for months. Really wish we could find a work around.
Same. It's just that one. Everything else was fine
Also happenings to me. Can't get Into the Future to install. Also Roaring Heights and Dragon Valley but they don't even show as options.
I sent email to the EA help desk, and after talking with three EA reps who were totally clueless, the FOURTH one said this:
I would like to inform you that we've received many reports about this issue already that players are reporting for Sims 3 that DLC install is stuck on preparing.
I have checked the issue you are facing and can see that the issue is a known issue and our team is working on a fix for the issue as soon as possible.
At this point, we appreciate your patience while we investigate what's going on. There are hundreds of reports of the same problem.
Though I know nobody likes to wait but rest assured the team is actively working on it.So he says they're working on it. I've sent a reply back, asking how we'll know when it works again, since we don't all want to simply try downloading every day.

Any updates on this issue will be posted here, as I said back on page 3.
This issue involves multiple teams across EA to resolve and we're working as quickly as possible to get it done.
