Sims 3 island paradise and university will not load at all, no work around works. They have ruined our games
I've actually discovered a fix for this since I was having the EXACT same issue with the same packs.
I used to have my games saved on an SSD so I had backup package files. I copied over the missing expansions to the new app folder, and now Island Paradise and University Life show up. Although the EA app doesn't recognize them as being installed. If someone needs these backups simply to have their game function I'd be more than willing to send the files.
By putting packs 9 and 10 in this folder:
- E:\Program Files\The Sims 3
And the installer folder:
- E:\Program Files\The Sims 3\__Installer\DLC
It fixed the issue, and the game was able to run with my packs
EA needs to do better. I can't believe this hasn't been solved for over a month at this point. If they were gonna release a new app that was just as broken as Origin was IDK why they even tried.
Definitely they know this is a problem and have no update nobody will help when you call or email
