Sims 3 expansion won't download

I just purchased an add-on for The Sims 3 too and have the same problem. The fact that this is still an issue for people months later is awful. This should have been fixed! Now i've wasted my money on content that isn't downloading and showing up in-game. If you've found a fix please let me know, I've contacted the team just waiting to hear back.
