I literally had the same issue just now literally a few days after you posted this 02/17.
I had the same run around with EA support with the links to clear the cache, run as an administrator etc.
I found a work around by installing Origin and downloading the game that way!

ok, I tried to download Origin, and it won't let me anymore. It takes me straight to the EA app, even if I go to the Origin site. Is Origin obsolete now?
