I recently downloaded The Sims 3 back onto my computer from the EA app. All of the "Add On" packs that I had originally installed with disks are in game. However, I just purchased two add on games (spent $40) and I cannot find ANY way to install them into the game. When I click Manage Add-Ons the two new games appear at the bottom of the list and say "In-Game Content" where as all the other packs say "installed." When I open the Sims 3 game launcher it does not show the new packs as installed either. Everything I try on the EA app just takes me in circles. How the heck do I INSTALL the packs I just paid for into my game?!

You need to reinstall Origin. It will give you a message that you need to upgrade to the EA app, but that won’t stop it from installing your EPs and SPs. You just can’t run Origin and the EA app at the same time. It’s a HORRIBLE workaround, but that’s what you need to do.
That is a 100% working work around as of June. Sad that EA sells stuff via their app that they KNOW won't work and EA support is clueless on how to fix. All of their suggestions will get you no where. This actually will.
