Sims 3 expansion won't download

We are having this problem in February 2023 - with only the Pets and Into the Future Add-ons. SIms3 base game plus 9 other add-ons install correctly, just not Pets and Into the Future. We've be...

@hkellick Can you please try and install The Sims 3 in a different directory other than the default C:\Program Files? I have noticed that some games like Mirror's Edge don't install unless installed in a folder other than C:\Program Files due to incompatibility with the Windows 64bit programs specific folder.

@Peter780 I tried again, still getting nowhere. In fact, Origin doesn't seem to be doing ANYTHING in the background. I might give it a bit and try again.

    @hkellick ok try to uninstall The Sims 3 and install it in a different location other than C:\Program Files and let us see how it goes. I hope that it works.

    @Peter780 So, to be clear, and I wasn't. I.. 

    1. Uninstalled Sims 3, Origin and EA Play. 

    2. Restarted.

    3. Installed EA Play and Origin, and installed Sims 3 in a different directory (a different drive even)

    4. Noted it still wouldn't install two DLC and posted here.

    I mean.. I can try to install on ANOTHER folder on the C: drive, I guess, but this is getting silly.

    @hkellick  Ok now I understand the situation better. Yeah you are right. There is definitely no need to install the game again in a different folder. I just thought that what worked for me for Mirror's Edge would work for The Sims 3. I am not really sure how this issue can be fixed.

    @Peter780 Nor I. It's disappointing, really. I mean, I can play all but two expansions, but.. into the future is one of my favorites.
