Sims 3 Expansions Not Downloading

This is my first time making a post, so I wanted to say my bad for having to reply to the first post instead of just typing out a response. A lot of the people here [if not everyone] were describing what was happening to me and my game word for word. I spent $120 this week on The Sims 3 packs as an early birthday gift to myself. All five of my expansion packs that I had installed via Origin earlier this year were still available. However, once I attempted to install The Sims 3 Pets, "Something went haywire. Download has failed" is all that I was met with. Now, the only Sims 3 content I can access is the base game. I saw other threads that talked about this same issue from two weeks ago (around early October 2022). The problem is still prevalent, and others mentioned this problem has been here since at least last September. I can't even say that staying with Origin would have been my best bet. After everyone was forced to migrate to the EA App, I noticed that I couldn't even see any of my Sims 3 packs in my library on Origin. The only tab under The Sims 3 was "Something about See Which of Your Friends Play This". I'm relatively new to The Sims 3 since I bought it about a year ago. Does anyone know if it's possible for us to download the packs via the Sims 3 Store after we already purchased them either via Origin or The EA App? Thank you to everyone who is trying to help fix this issue. If we were still able to download the packs via Origin, but still be required to play via The EA App, I would be grateful. As it is, hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of service spent by consumers for this product are inaccessible.

I tried the following to fix the problem, but it was to no avail:

• First, I sent in a report so that EA can have my request in their system.
• Next, I proceeded to back up my [Mods, Saves, Downloads, and I think another folder]
• Then, I repeatedly uninstalled both The Sims 3 and The EA App, however, the problem remained.
• After doing the last step, I lost access to all of my previous packs, and can only use the base game.
