Bejeweled Blitz for PC
While it was some time ago, nevertheless, I excitably purchased Bejeweled Blitz, among others mentioned further down this note, to be played on my desktop PC. Now, I'm stuck like Chuck. Why? Recently a kamikaze squirrel shorted out a transformer two houses down from me and even though I had surge protection, it took out my Dell Windows 10 desktop PC. Rest in peace! So, a HP Windows 11 was purchased, new keyboard and mouse, as well as a new screen. As the hard drive from the old PC did not take a hit, data was able to be transferred to the new PC perfectly. Well, not totally true. A series of games, each individually purchased and all played ONLY on our PC, specifically Bejeweled Blitz, Zuma Deluxe, Zuma's Revenge, and Zuma Blitz, were not able to be transferred. Okay, no brainer, right? Sure, normal action would be to go back to the respective sources and request email links so as to download and install said games. Easy, right? Not a frigging chance! One tries to go back to the sources with proper email and passwords in hand so as to accomplish this mission and comes to understand that this company bought that company which subsequently merged with yet another group that only met on alternate Tuesdays when Taco Bell was having a sale on Nachos BellGrande. What a cluster! By the way, EA's AI chat robot is akin to the "Lost in Space" robot who infamously often chirped "Does not compute! Does not compute!" So there you have it. By virtue of companies buying each other out, being oh so 21 Century-ish, and worst of all, "AI-ing" themselves till they orgasm, one is left peeing into the wind with minimal to no relief except wet pants. I certainly never afforded my customers such abysmal, despicable service when I functioned in the corporate world.
Finally, by virtue of the combining/purchasing/merging of companies, no one apparently wishes to take accountability although they try to serve it with a side order of synergy.
