When I try to run The Sims 4 game, I keep getting this message. "The app couldn't read the game's license file, so If the problem continues, try clearing your cache."
I have been having this problem since the last EA App update. I can run other games with the app. It seems only The Sims 4 is affected.
I have cleared the cache several times as suggested. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, as well as launching the EAUpdater.exe. I did the repair game option a couple of times. I have disabled my anti-virus and VPN. I have tried to find any solutions on the forum, but I have only seen other players posting about having the same problem, but not getting any answers or help.
I have been playing The Sims since The Sims 1 was released. I was even a beta tester of Sims Online. I have spent so much time and money on this game and I feel like I'm just being left out in the cold. EA just wants my money, but can't be bothered to help when they break the game.
okay, update from my side, hopefully this helps someone in here, otherwise sorry for getting your hopes up.
I just chatted with EA help about this and that person fixed something about my game and account, he wasn't saying what exactly, and that I should clear cache in the EA App after that as well as repair my game. I cleared my EA app cache, but didn't repair my game (because that means updating and I haven't updated all my mods yet, the reason I wanted to play offline in the first place) and it worked. So, apparently it wasn't just about clearing the EA App cache, since I already tried that before, but it was about doing so after he changed something what did it.
So in case you haven't tried this, I'd suggest to try this method, in case you can't find the link to chat: https://help.ea.com/nl/solutions/?product=ea-account&category=manage-my-account&topic=login-ea-account
And be sure to add a document, it can just be an empty txt file, otherwise it won't work.
Also sent him a link to this thread as well.

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately, I only speak English so I don't know what it's saying.

Hey,
Sorry for the late reply, somehow missed it. Do you mean the link or what do you mean? In case you do mean the link, here is the English version: https://help.ea.com/en/solutions/?product=ea-account&category=manage-my-account&topic=login-ea-account . I thought it would automatically switch to the correct language, but clearly it didn't. However, changing the "nl" in "en" did it.
