Sims 4 Base Game download Installation error

I've tried to download the base game of The Sims dozens of times now on my Mac. It will start downloading, reach 96%, and then display an error (I've screenshotted it and included it below). I've tried clearing the cache and using an app that deletes the app and all hidden files, but still nothing. The Sims game is on my computer after the download error, but when I click it, it brings me to the EA app saying it wasn't fully downloaded. Is there anything I can do? I feel like I've tried everything. My Mac is only two years old nd has plenty of space too.
