Sims 4 has failed to launch for some weeks now. Not sure what else to do to remedy it.
I don't know if you have already tried this or not. But, try deleting the game entirely and reboot the computer and then reinstall the game and see if that works.
I just tried this and unfortunately it didn't work :( but thank you !
