Unable to Unlink EA Account from PSN Due to Inaccessible Email

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble unlinking my EA account from my PSN account, and it’s currently affecting my ability to play Battlefield 6 and potentially any future EA games. The problem is that the email address associated with my EA account is no longer accessible (it’s a dead email), so I can’t use it to verify my account or go through the normal recovery steps.

Here’s the situation in more detail:

  1. I have a PSN account that is linked to my EA account.
  2. I need to unlink my EA account from PSN, but since I can’t access the email tied to the EA account, I’m stuck.
  3. I’ve already contacted PlayStation support, but they informed me they cannot unlink third-party accounts like EA on their end, and they didn’t direct me to any relevant department.
  4. I’ve tried using EA’s account recovery tools, but because of the dead email, I can’t fully recover or verify my account.
  5. This is causing issues with playing Battlefield 6 and may prevent me from accessing any future EA titles linked to the same account.

I’ve also tried contacting EA support through chat, but the issue persists. I’m more than willing to escalate this matter, either through further support channels or by working with higher-level reps, if needed.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or does anyone have any suggestions for how to unlink an EA account from PSN without access to the registered email?

If anyone has a solution or workaround, I’d greatly appreciate it!

  • I am having the exact same issue but with my xbox account. It's linked to an email address I made back in 2007 that I no longer have access to. Very unfortunate that they link the accounts for "lifetime" almost leaving us no option but to make an entire new account. Hopefully we get am answer on this soon.

They really shove how much they don’t wanna help you in your face too. Making it so hard to even reach a customer service rep is completely unacceptable.
