Sims 4 not downloading

My Sims 4 game isn't downloading for me. I have tried everything that the ea games ppl have. I don't know what to do. Help

Hey @gummyemma,

Are you trying to update the game, or is this a full download of The Sims 4?

Please try the following steps and see if they help:

Clear the EA app cache: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Repair The Sims 4

Clean boot your PC: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

If none of these steps help, could you let me know what troubleshooting you have already gone through?

I'm having a similar issue, I can download the game in steam but it wont play, it wont even download in the ea launcher and now I don't know what to do. My boyfriend uninstalled everything, reinstalled, and even repaired files. It still wont download in the ea launcher. I haven't played sims in ages because of this issue.

This thread is already quite old, so I'm closing it now in line with our rules on necro posting.

Additionally to the already mentioned steps above, I would also recommend that you check if you added the game and your launcher as an exception in your anti virus program and your firewall: https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/close-background-apps/
