I've got a brand new PC which far exceeds the spec required with a fresh install of Windows and Sims 4 will not download. All my other games using the EA app download but the sims wont. Re-installed EA app, restarted PC, disabled Windows Defender, changed install locations, used Revo to cleanly remove all EA stuff and re-installed it etc.
My download speed is 200Mbps+ and I've just downloaded Battlefield 4 without any issues. It's been stuck preparing for 3 hours yet if i cancel it and choose another game to download, they work instantly. I only have 1 EA account and it shows that I own it when I check online.
I've accepted the agreements, ran as administrator, checked i'm not on the banned, I've completely out of ideas.
Anyone else getting this or know how to solve this?
Yeah, I'm still having the issue of sims 4 not downloading at all for my main account as it has all my dlcs and stuff, but can somehow download the base game just fine with a testing account. Don't want to create a new account and get the dlcs all over again on a new account.
I've got the sims 4 installed on 2 computers, and neither one will download, when you click the download it acts like it's going to download but does not, still informing ea and not getting any results. I sure wish I had an answer for you, so sorry , but still working on a solution.I'd definitely say it's an EA problem.
