Sims 4 unavailable

When I try to play sims 4 it says it’s unavailable in the EA game page.


I spoke to someone a few day’s ago and they said it was a issue with the game and it should be working again soon but it’s still not working and they have directed me here.

if anyone has any suggestions I’d be very grateful.

    @Stoneboden 

    Did you ever previously own the game through Steam, or have your EA account linked with Steam?

    The base game is now free to play, so you can link your Steam account to your EA account, and download the base game in Steam to play that way to get this error cleared up. If you run into any troubles with this, please let me know!

    I am having the exact same issue, i brought the game on steam and have never experienced this issue, until now, i dont understand why its showing as unavailable on the EA, do i need to renew my EA play to play my STEAM game? If so thats extremely frustrating
