Sims 4 Won't Update in EA App (Mac)

My EA App says that The Sims 4 needs an update. I click the update button, a menu to agree with the terms and conditions pops up, on which i press continue. The window closes and nothing happens. I have tried clearing the cache by clicking help > app recovery but that doesn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App and that didn't work. Restarting my Mac didn't work. Other games can be downloaded, so it is something specifically wrong with The Sims 4 on the EA App. Any suggestions? Thank you!
